Patrick Gothard
Patrick Gothard is a self-taught artist and has been painting for most all of his life. He finds the biggest adventure in life is a blank canvas. "You can create anything you want, go wherever your mind wants to. See what no one has ever seen.”
He creates beautiful works of art, his body of work is extensive and well worth the enjoyable afternoon at one of the Open Studio Home Shows, for the unique time when he invites the public to view his studio.
He paints with oils and acrylics on canvas or wood with personal statement and experience, portrayed by his abstract vision with bold charismatic colors. His art is unique and definite. Collectors proudly display the art, showing the work without the intention of making it blend with other surroundings.
Mary Gothard
Mary Gothard considers herself an artist, not a professional photographer. She blends two loves into one project. She is a gardener, growing their own vegetables for over 30 years. The wonders of the garden allow her to view the perfection of nature in a simple form:
the backyard garden. It is her opinion that vegetables feed the body, flowers feed the soul. Spending time in the garden is her best stress buster. She enjoys the peace and it allows her to focus.
She shoots the flowers as they stand in the garden, without the aid of enhanced light, water or backgrounds. She doesn’t need to strive for perfection the subject is already perfect. All she needs to do is see it and shoot it.
She is currently trying to continue the journey and find additional ways to promote herself to be recognized as an artist.
